make art
Art is a safe space to express, to feel, to connect, and to create something new. Process art is about the act of creating. Making time to create is an act of self care.
-

craft community
We all need a place to come together with no agenda, no pressure, and no expectations. A place to create and connect with others or just be. Community Craft Club is a place to gather with other people who want to craft community.

I believe art and community should be available to anyone and everyone so Community Craft Club offers a sliding scale of $0 to $15 to join. After rental space, supplies, and fees for tickets, any excess craft night funds will be donated to Hartford and West Hartford community aid and social justice oriented organizations. If you have craft materials you'd like to donate, I welcome them! I have lots of materials from my sensory play business, and utilize Buy Nothing, little free craft libraries, thrift stores, and our recycling bin to source materials to keep our club affordable.

Hartford Stitch is generously allowing us to use their space for an affordable rate that will keep Community Craft Club low cost for participants. Please note, Hartford Stitch is only accessible via stairs. Community Craft Club will be limited to 10 participants due to space restrictions.

We will be crafting community through art! We will be making, creating, and connecting through art.

We will be doing all sorts of artsy, crafty things! We will be making a wide range of things and using all sorts of different materials. We might make beaded bracelets, bedazzle something, try our hand at watercolors, junk journal, weave, make a collaborative piece…the possibilities are endless. You’re always free to bring your own craft or art work in progress.

Nope! Absolutely no experience or skill is needed to join Community Craft Club. Our craft club is process based so the focus is on the process of creating, not the end product. We’re here to imagine, inspire, create, enjoy, and craft.

Process art is focused on enjoying the process of creating and making rather than the product’s end result. Process art gives us the opportunity to try things out, make mistakes, and use our imaginations.
