This meet-up is for families in the Greater Hartford homeschool community. Sensory bins and art projects are geared for kids who no longer put things in their mouths. There are two playgrounds at the park we meet at that are suitable for toddlers and up.

Yes, Homeschool Art Play follows a “pay what you can” model with a sliding scale for tickets. Tickets are per family, not per child. Cost covers supplies and my time for prep and clean up.

We meet at a park on the north side of West Hartford. More info will be sent when you sign up for the event.

All of our projects will be process-based. Process art is focused on enjoying the process of creating and making rather than the product’s end result. Process art gives kids the opportunity to try things out, make mistakes, and use their imaginations. I plan to have one art based project, one open ended craft, a building option, and a sensory bin.

This is a secular, inclusive meet up. It is not a drop off - caregivers must stay to support their child(ren) and are invited to connect with other homeschooling parents and join in the artsy fun!
